I think that a selfie is a picture of you taken by you while a self portrait is usually taken by someone else. I set up the mirrors by leaning them on each other.

Some of the photos in the picture above are a coffee from Starbucks, a kitten, a snowmobile, and fire. I created this picture by taking photos that I had previously taken, put them in photoshop, erased everything but the specific thing I wanted, placed them all in the same picture, and faded all of the pictures except for the one of myself.
I used adobe illustrator and the pen tool to create the outline of the lines, then I used an knife to cut out the shapes. The best way to showcase the light modulation in my opinion is to have the light pointing at an angle but from above, which creates shadows through the cut out and folded shapes.
The first picture in the slide is a realistic picture and has not been altered in anyway. The second picture in the slide is abstract because it shows the picture in a different way than we would in reality and you can barely recognize what the picture is actually suppose to be. The third picture in the slide is non-objective because not quite abstract and still looks similar to the first picture so that it is recognizable.
You use size and vertical location, overlapping, detail, and linear perception to capture pictures to create the illusion of space and depth. I used the focus on my camera to focus on certain things to create the illusion of depth and space.
ShadowsPhotographic GenresThe seven genres are...
~Art: Any type of picture can be considered art or in the art genre. ~Photography and War: It deals with life, death and is extremely dramatic. ~Digital Truth: Manipulation in photos and wether or not a photo was manipulated. ~Presidential Image Making: Communicating a convincing image of politicians beliefs. ~Persuasion: It's job is to persuade people to do something. ~Social Change: Shows a problem in the world and tries to convince people to want to change or fix it. ~Cultural Identity: Shows what your culture is like or what is part of your culture. The recent picture I have chosen can be placed in the cultural identity genre because in our culture, many people own pets. |
